We are thinking of doing an out and back trip from Norfolk. When weather hits and it rains how is the trail? Hate to be stuck somewhere unable to get back. Thanks.

The trail does alright, I would say it depends more on your bike/tire selection. I've ridden on it in the rain and it's not bad at all on a MTB. If it gets too messy you can always bail and ride on HWY 275/20.
