I plan to hike from Norfolk to Valentine, and I was just wondering if you can camp along the trail or if it is necessary to find campsites in each town.

You will need to stop at one of the small towns along the trail and camp. The trail is technically closed at sunset. Most all of the towns have a place where you can camp, some charge a small fee, and others are free.
